Timothy C. Hanifen, United States Marine Corps Major General (Full Interview)

Tim Hanifen attended the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, rising to serve as a Major General in the United States Marine Corps. Commissioned in 1978, he became a Naval Aviator in 1979 with 3300 flying hours in both peace and wartime.

His many command assignments included his simultaneous stint as Commanding General of 2D Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward) and Commanding General, Al Asad Air Base in Al Anbar Province, Iraq (2007-2008). He retired in 2014 after 35 years of service.
